Bobcats run winning streak to 4, Sweep away Cincinnati
After watching their counterparts on the division 1 team score 13 times during their weekend sweep of Indiana, the D2 team looked to try to keep pace. Saturday night, the team scored 12 times against the University of Cincinnati to extend the team's recent winning streak to 3 games.
Alex Guest picked up his first career victory in the effort, stopping 31 shots in the process. Anthony Finney added 5 points (3 Goals, 2 Assists), KC Fraize 4 points (3 Goals, 1 Assist), and Nick Frasse and Jimmy Irwin each put up 3 points (2 Goals, 1 Assist and 1 Goal, 2 Assists) in the 12-4 victory.
The next day's game turned out to be a much different game. The Bobcats would jump out to a 2-0 lead after Jeff Schirtzinger scored his first collegiate goal and Patrick Oberlin added his 6th of the season. In the second period, Patrick Morse made some key saves to hold the lead for the team, and early into the third Jared Prior scored the eventual game winner.
After the 3-2 victory on Sunday, the Bobcats will take their 4 game winning streak to Kettering Ice Arena for their showdown with University of Dayton on Sunday morning at 11am.
