Ohio Drops Another One to Adrian
Submitted By Bryan Levin on Saturday, February 27, 2010
Ohio never held lead in series, losing 4-2.

The Adrian Bulldogs came into Athens with a chip on their shoulders after narrowly missing out on a trip to the ACHA Tournament.

They took their aggression out on the Bobcats, sweeping them to close the regular season.

Before the game, Chris Carlson, Justin Farmer, Paul Marshall, Phil Oberlin and Ryan Tessmer were honored as it was Senior Night.

Tom Ciaverilla opened the scoring for Adrian on a short-handed goal midway through the first period.

That was the lone goal scored in the period.

Ohio tied the game up a minute into the second, when Tyler Pilmore beat goalie Matt Welch. Nick Rostek assisted on the play.

Adrian went up 2-1 when Justen Mitchell buried a shot after a nice pass from Joe Coffin.

The Bulldogs increased the lead to 3-1 late in the second when Jared Semple scored. Randall Cox and Mike Yakamovich added the helpers.

In the third, Ohio got back to a 3-2 contest when Josh Fodor scored on a powerplay. Ryan Tessmer and Brett Molnar assisted.

The scoring ended midway through the final period when Chris Dixon scored. Spencer Bonomo assisted.

The Bobcats will now prepare for the ACHA Tournament where they will face host Robert Morris next Saturday in Illinois.
